- Mac Business Edition ( 由原本的office 2008 for mac and office 2008 for Mac Special Media Edition 合二為一)

ms 其中既兩個product 的整合。…..

Business Edition will add Microsoft Document Connection for Mac, which helps improve access and browsing to documents on SharePoint and Microsoft Office Live Workspace. It will also add over 200 business templates and new professional clip art.

會否因為outlook 而令mac 人轉email client???

“Outlook for Mac will bring features our customers have long requested – such as Rights Management – that make working across platforms even easier. I think people will see that this move to Outlook for Mac is more than just a name change.”


不過apple 的新os 就會支援exchange server，所以即使outlook support exchange server，但人們有無必要轉用? (所以話呢~，時機是十分重要呢)~

Microsoft can’t affect one issue: Apple’s next operating system revision will include built-in support for Exchange servers, but given that company’s tight-lipped policy about future releases, it’s unclear how comprehensive the support will be. Wilfrid also noted that there was no news about an iPhone Office app.

現在，應該會是Flash Player / Acrobat Reader (果然是樹大招風)

先看看2008 的targeted attacks ，就會知道acrobat reader 都差不多已佔有30%。

差不多已經有50% 都是向著acrobat reader 而做的。

Those scary statistics prompted F-Secure researcher Mikko Hypponen, chief research officer at F-Secure, to urge Adobe Reader users to switch to an alternative PDF reader at the RSA show in April.

叫user要轉alternative pdf reader?….看來adobe pdf 的問題真的愈來愈多了。

“I’d like to think that they would start realizing that they can use security as a selling point, but it took Linux to get Microsoft to do that. They felt they had competition,” he said. “Is there a Linux waiting to affect Adobe?”

上面的文章很有意思，正因為linux 以安全性來做selling point (當然又sell 到人先得la)，迫使window 要patching 方面要做得更快。

但是，對於adobe來說，跟本就可以算是無對手，至少 chowky 不認為silverlight能夠對flash player構成competition。

不過，至少多一個選擇都不錯的。

chowky 覺得應該不簡單，發覺原來是Windows Live OneCare 推出後反應不好，ms唯有重施故技 (有機會要看看foxpro，window forms, .net 的歷史)，推出新的product 名為”Morro” 。慢慢phase out 自己研發的product。ms 推出新的anti-virus ，公司當然可以提出很多的理由去support推出新的product，只但導致phase out自己的product ，就只有一個reason –不好賣。試問有錢賺的話，為什麼不做下去?

Windows Live OneCare will continue to be sold for Windows XP and Windows Vista at retail through June 30, 2009. Direct sales of OneCare will be gradually phased out when “Morro” becomes available. Regardless of their method of purchase, Microsoft will ensure that all current customers remain protected through the life of their subscriptions.

所以，bing 打另一種的戰術 (feature)，decision engine，表示這個engine 是以幫助你找答案。
