Ovi Map Player API Updated
Nokia 看來都很努力開發自己的map player api.
近來看到關於ovi map player 的update.
新的features 包括:
1) a Maps Player bounding box;
2) new POI categories;
3) a way for you to query the Maps Player version.
4) customizable anchor points for markers
5) tile maps supporting Satellie and Terrain mode
暫時chowky都只是抱著觀望態度，所以要等到 nokia 下一代的os 反應才會再決定的呢~….
這是mobile 的走勢，所以要多留意，nokia 始終都是mobile 的龍頭，這個，他是否能夠成為第四個新的os?….(iphone, andriod, window mobile)
NOKIA 在2012 放棄 Symbian N-Series
哈 2012，電影?!。巧合而已～
Nokia 打算在2012 放棄 Symbian N-Series，取而代之的是基於linux 自行研發的OS ： Maemo。
以前chowky 都提及nokia 正在開發 Maemo ，（可以參考之前的文章） symbian 應該不會這麼快公開慢慢replace 的呢。
因為都未見到有真正的nokia maemo手機（n900) 推出，這樣又似乎過早說的呢。雖然nokia 的情況可算
是受到很多的威脅，iphone 、andriod 都相繼愈來愈多人使用
而m$ 的window mobile 6.5 又快要已經推出， (samsung, htc, toshiba… 這些公司就直接用了andriod, window mobile，就放棄開發，nokia 是手機一哥，應該不會想受別人-andriod 的操控，堅持自己開發，有種！）
nokia 好像連一點breakthrough 都沒有似的。所以就要制造一點新聞出來呢～
symbian 好像是會在2012 放棄N﹣SERIES。～ 手機都轉得很快呢～，nokia 要走快一點了…..

iPhone App 的淘金熱，其他的mobile 市場都能淘?
其實iPhone 現在都比較難度高了，已經有一批成功的公司，長期推出不同的新apps，當然idea就不是人人都想到的。
以下的文章就講，既然iphone 的市場這麼困難，不如去另外的地方，e.g. andriod, blackberry or nokia 的市場吧，而且這些都有一個新的platform 去放上架。
不過chowky 就覺得如果這麼容易就能夠copy app store 的成功。
我們應該要從marketing 方面去想想。
andriod 還未知道.
blackberry 是manager level 的.
nokia 的太散，沒有dominant的segment.
還要考慮一下，platform 的成熟程度，除了app store 之外，其實全部都是新開發的，到時買賣出錯就很麻煩了。

Ovi SDK Beta by Nokia
令人期待的新 platform ，Ovi SDK。
這個OVI SDK ，是基於web-standard 而做。換言之，你只要懂得HTML ＋ CSS ，就可以做到 application! （感動，不用再學新的language~）
現在要OVI SDK 可以在PC browser run as a extension.
Features 特色：
- High-level JavaScript APIs to a rich set of Ovi functionality including 3D mapping and positioning (GPS) as well as turn-by-turn Walk and Drive navigation.
- UI framework and style guide takes you through the design process.
- UI library makes it easy to develop for mobile. UI components like lists, search boxes and menus, reduce the complexity of different screen sizes and device types.
NOKIA 這個開發的方法當然是針對SYMBIAN 開發問題： 1．efficiency 太低，2．普及程度不夠。
如果真的如NOKIA 所說的WEB﹣STANDARD，應該會吸引到不少人試。亦可以借此UNIFIED 自已的平台開發方法 （因nokia打算新推出新的OS which is based on linux core — Maemo)
N900 應該會是第一部搭載MAEMO的手機 智能電話

Nokia mobile payment 上的解決方案 — Nokia Finance
先前nokia 向 obopay 買入preferred share，當然是一個策略性的合作關係。
nokia money 這個platform 是建基於obopay 的mobile payment的方法。
4 billion mobile phones but only 1.6 billion bank accounts
“We believe mobile financial services offer a market opportunity with long term growth potential. In many countries, mobile phone ownership significantly exceeds bank account usage, suggesting that many mobile phone users have very limited or no access to basic financial services. With more than 4 billion mobile phone users and only 1.6 billion bank accounts, global demand for access to financial services presents a strong opportunity to combine mobile devices with simple but powerful financial services such as Nokia Money”, said Mary McDowell, EVP and Chief Development Officer, Nokia.
這樣當然可以代表有很多growth opportunity。但是要改變用戶的shopping behaviour，其實都不簡單的。
不過如果不建立這些infrastructure的話，就會有其他人做類似的事，到時就失去先機了，(即是無得選擇，一就淘汰別人，一是被人淘汰，已經不能原地踏步)

nokia 都打算加入netbook 行列?
真假就不知道了。
[Mobile] Nokia推出新的flash lite component
這套component是利用flashlite 來寫的，而且是免費的。
nokia方針是想應用flashlite的動畫，所以nokia在forum公佈flashlite component。
目標是？（哈，可能chowky太蠢…想不通呢）
[Mobile] Obopay – Mobile Payment
chowky 見到報導，nokia 都投資在這間公司身上，他究竟有何能耐?….70 million of preferred shares…..( 喂喂..不要當港幣，美金來的)
不過其實obopay 之前已經收到venture captial firms $69 million，看來真是明日之星呢。
其實這間公司要研究mobile payment的，這樣看來，連nokia 都不自己開發，去投資入去這間公司，代表個product 是很成功。 (其實看看partner 的公司都知道這個product 的成熟程度)
chowky 認為成功原因是，對準了新興的mobile market、security 方面的不完整、欠缺一個solution for payment。
事實上手機seurity 要在hk 做….應該會失敗。…..
原因? (自己想想看吧)
