Ovi SDK Beta by Nokia

令人期待的新 platform ，Ovi SDK。

這個OVI SDK ，是基於web-standard 而做。換言之，你只要懂得HTML ＋ CSS ，就可以做到 application! （感動，不用再學新的language~）

現在要OVI SDK 可以在PC browser run as a extension.

Features 特色：

  1. High-level JavaScript APIs to a rich set of Ovi functionality including 3D mapping and positioning (GPS) as well as turn-by-turn Walk and Drive navigation.
  2. UI framework and style guide takes you through the design process.
  3. UI library makes it easy to develop for mobile. UI components like lists, search boxes and menus, reduce the complexity of different screen sizes and device types.

NOKIA 這個開發的方法當然是針對SYMBIAN 開發問題： 1．efficiency 太低，2．普及程度不夠。

如果真的如NOKIA 所說的WEB﹣STANDARD，應該會吸引到不少人試。亦可以借此UNIFIED 自已的平台開發方法 （因nokia打算新推出新的OS which is based on linux core — Maemo)

N900 應該會是第一部搭載MAEMO的手機 智能電話

App Store 仿傚者的Challenges

有鑒於apple 的iPhone app store  的成功，其他手機生產商都仿傚其成功方法，紛紛推出類似的平台，主要是都想有official channel 提供方便的銷售渠道給developer，吸引更多人參與。毫無疑問，一個強大的community 是成功的先決條件之一。
